The Finished Cover

I actually finished it. Good lord. Okay not really finished, it needs a lot of burnishing and tidying up, but this is the fundamental finished plate. I think I'm getting the hang of aquatinting now. It isn't perfect and I was a little over-enthusiastic with the areas of white, but it's working.

New Etching

This is a plate I'm working on at the moment. It has a lot more work to be done but you might enjoy looking at it before I accidentally ruin it. It will be a book cover when it's finished.

Quick let's post something I did ages ago and pretend I've done something useful with my life. Now to desperately work on more new exciting things. Honest.

Trying something different with pencil and Conte. I am uncertain as to how successful it is. If it works I might be playing with the idea more when I can't etch.
